Birdwatch

The Azores are known internationally as choice destination for certain groups of bird species observation.

Come to our island and get to know the starlet of Santa Maria (REGULUS REGULUS SANCTAE MARIAE), single species in the worls. This species is the smallest european bird with about 5 grams and about 9cm, an aspect "Plump" short tail with a crown of feathers on top of the yellow-orange coloring head. Attracts attention with its faisly acute appeals, and uninterrupted activity, continually wagging the wings in search of food.
